The main purpose of the project is to meet and anticipate the demands of the cosmetic market. The evolved consumer requires performance that today the cosmetic product natural or organic is not able to satisfy. All this passes from using a preservative system safe and effective, but without the problems of skin irritation, the ability to offer natural products but efficient, stable, safe and of high quality, with the important innovative constraint linked to the possibility to discover and use local ingredients.

The project is organised according to various objectives:

- Characterise and find suitable local ingredients adapted to be used in cosmetic formulations to reach a greater synergy with the territory (region of Trentino).

- Allow to build a natural preservative system based on a balanced mix of ingredients composing the formula.

- Analyse the efficiency and stability of the preservative system developed in a safe and fast manner.

- Characterise the perceived aspects of the developed products through sensory tests.
